Since we married in 2013, our goal for our family has always been that we would glorify the Lord together. We lived and served for three years in Malawi, while doubling our family to include our daughter Norah and son Ezra. During our time in Malawi, the Lord solidified in us a passion and calling to quality Christian education and building strong community through mentoring and discipleship. We have been at Rift Valley Academy for the past 5 years and we’ve added tow more children, Sophie and Hazel with one more on the way!
Rift Valley Academy (RVA) has been providing education to missionary kids in Africa since 1906. For many missionary families serving in remote parts of Africa, Rift Valley has provided a way for their children to still receive a quality education without needing to leave their ministry. We will be serving here through Africa Inland Mission (AIM). AIM’s focus is ‘Christ Centered Churches Among all African Peoples with a priority for the unreached’. Rift Valley Academy provides a framework of education that furthers this mission and the spread of the gospel around Africa.
We have served in many different roles at RVA from teaching in elementary school to being on the executive leadership team. This past year Dan is the head of student life, and we are both dorm parents of a high school senior girls’ dorm where we live with, mentor and coach 15 senior high girls. We believe that God is giving us the opportunity to equip the next generation of missionaries and look forward to building relationships and enabling the work of so many missionary families to continue across Africa.
